TICKET REFUNDS:

Hi all,
 
We’d like to start off again by saying how sorry we are that both Saturday sessions and the rain day session had to be cancelled. This is not the result we wanted at all, and we will obviously refund all Saturday session tickets – no need to request your refund via the ticket provider, we’ve got you covered.
UPDATE
You should ALL have received an email from eventbrite noting that your refund has been processed.

Depending on your bank or credit card provider and eventbrites transfer process the $$ will start appearing on your card sometime this week, and should all be refunded by Friday 24th (you dont need to follow up as the process is automatic 🙂 )

Thanks for your patience, it was a large job for the ticketing provider to process and get approved!

Held at Waitangi Park – Wellington Waterfront
The Wellington Wine, Food & Craft Beer Festival will bring together the best local cuisine and restaurants, paired with local wineries and breweries, offering a premium collection of what the wider Wellington region has to offer.

Entertainment is provided by some of Wellingtons (and NZ’s) top musicians, you can see the line up here. Adding to this years entertainment factor will be Air NZ grabaseat musical chairs, with your chance to win a range of prizes!

Food Providers
11 of Wellington’s top restaurants will be each showcasing 6 of  their menu items, some especially created for the festival, and others straight of the restaurant menu. Food items will range in price from only $5 – $8. view the vendors

Wineries
7 Wine vendors, with over 35 wines on offer!
Covering a range of white and red varietals from local and international brands. Glass pour options will be only $8 – $8.50 and tastes $2.50 (standard wine glass pour) view the vendors

Beer & Cider
6 Beer & Cider vendors will have a range of craft beers on tap and several different ciders from apple to black doris plum for you to indulge.
Glass pours are 360ml and only $8! (standard pour) view the vendors

New Festival Addition – Mocktail Bar
As part of this years festival we will be providing a non alcoholic mocktail bar run by Ray Letoa from the Roxy. If you are not feeling like an alcoholic beverage or just want to try a fantastic creation come and see Ray! more information

The Platinum Seated Area (reserved tables) –  Is located in the centre of the festival with easy access to all vendors. It has its own bar within the area with bottle service available (other vendors are glass pour only). Each table is allocated inside the premium marquee, with a picket fence “garden area” available exclusively for your use. A vendor tasting platter limited selection will be circulated within the marquee during the first half of the session. Table bookings also include a free bottle of Number 1 Bubbles.

General Information

What is included in my ticket?

Your festival ticket provides you with the following:

  • Souvenir Glass
  • Live Entertainment
  • Food & Beverages at discounted regular prices

Ticket Entry

Gates will open 5 minutes prior to the start of the session time.
Proceed to the ticketing tent and present your printed or electronic ticket to be scanned
You will receive a festival glass, menu, tasters (if your ticket includes) and wristband – Entry will not be allowed to persons under the age of 18 years – Please bring ID.
Please make sure you use the correct lane on entry

Wine, Beer & Food

Wine: There will be a range of white & red varietals available by the glass or taste pour.
Beer & Cider: A number of craft beer’s from local and national breweries will be available for glass pour only. Likewise Cider options will be available from most beer tents.
Non Alcoholics: We have introduced a mocktail bar run by Ray Leota from the Roxy.
Food: Local Wellington Restaurants will be providing small plates, meals and tapa style offerings – keep an eye out for the menus

Only food or drink purchased onsite is permitted, and unauthorized food and drink will be confiscated.

Festival Payments

All Festival Vendors – Wine, Food and Beer will be accepting Cash and some vendors will have Eftpos (all bar locations will have eftpos options)
There will be cash out facilities available onsite from the ANZ Atm at no charge.

NO festival currency or credit cards exist or are accepted.

Getting here (and back!) safely

As a responsible host, we recommend you use public transport (plan your trip here) to get to the festival, or have a designated driver if you’re traveling by car. Please be aware there is no car parking available at the festival, but there are plenty of car parking buildings close by. Alternatively please grab a taxi – or Uber, who can drop you at the festival entrance.

Entertainment

Musical Entertainment for 2017 will be provided by 3 Wellington Bands, original artists, covers, and well known individuals.

– Miles Calder & the Rumours (www.milescalder.com)

Miles Calder is a story-telling folk singer-songwriter with an expressive voice and raw confessional songs. After a year of writing in New York, followed by a European tour, he released his self titled debut album in 2016 and sold out shows around NZ. With his band The Rumours, their Alt-Country charm will have you singing along and tapping your toes.


  

– The Fades (www.thefades.co.nz)
 
Wellington’s premier Motown band The Fades cover Motown and RnB classics from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Al Green and Bill Withers. Featuring many of the key players in the Wellington music scene, their collective drive to perform authentic and energetic Motown has developed The Fades into a show not to be missed. 

 


– The Prenups

An all start lineup of some of NZ’s finest musicians featuring Andrew Bain (Fur Patrol), Tom Watson (Cassette/ Lawrence Arabia), Riki Gooch (Trinity Roots/ Orchestra Of Spheres) and Jeremy Taylor (Cinematic/The Boomshack Band). The Prenups get together and play party songs and that get people dancing and reminiscing and when they’re there, the chances are you’re gonna have a pretty swell time!
                    

Grabaseat Musical Chairs will offer patrons the chance to Win flights and a number of other great prizes! Running Saturday sessions only.

 

Conditions of entry

Persons showing signs of intoxication on arrival to the festival will be refused entry, and no glass will be given. In addition, intoxicated persons will be asked to leave or be refused entry to any of the festivals participating sites.
All festival goers consent to having their photo taken via camera or drone while at the festival.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there beer as well as wine?

We will have a range of Craft Breweries serving their fine craft beer, along with Cider. (click here to see who they are)

Can I use my ticket at more than one session?

Each ticket bought is allocated to a session, that ticket may only be used for that specific session. You can buy a ticket for another session if you wish.

Can I SWAP my tickets to another session?

Each ticket bought is allocated to a session, that ticket may only be used for that specific session.
You CANNOT swap tickets for another session sorry.
However, you can buy a ticket for another session if you wish.

What happens if the session is cancelled?

We have reserved Sunday March 12th from 12pm – 6pm for a “rain day”.

Do I need to bring cash?

We recommend bringing cash as not all food vendors will have EFTPOS (all bars will), however there will be cash out on site available from the ANZ Atm’s – no charge

Can we sample the wines?

There is a glass pour or sample pour option for most wines.

What do the drinks cost and what size are they?

Pricing to be released closer to the 2017 Festival, roughly $7.50 to $8.50

Are there non alcoholic drinks available?

We have a dedicated Mocktail Bar presented by Ray Leota from the Roxy Bar

Can I bring my kids / child who is U18?

All sessions are R18 in 2017.
This means all patrons need to be over 18 years of age
Liquor License Law states – Anyone within the Festival must be over 18, this includes babies etc

Can I bring in a water bottle? Food? Drinks?

Yes, you can bring a clear water bottle that is empty and refill this inside for free.
No other food or beverages can be brought into the festival – please contact us if you have any concerns.

Can I bring in a my own seating & Rug?

Yes, you can bring your own seating or Rug if you wish. There are a number of seating options available from picnic matts to tables.

Are pets welcome?

Unfortunately we do not allow animals into the festival unless of course they are working dogs, guide dogs etc or similar – any questions or concerns please get in touch

Is there seating & cover?

We have increased the seating and cover options this year available in the general admission section, if you want your own table you can purchased a reserved seating option.

Are there door sales?

Door sales will be available from $45.00, if there is allocation available. Please check the session details to find out more.

Can we leave the session and come back? "Pass Outs"

The festival runs a NO Pass Out Policy. Once you leave you wont be able to come back in sorry. This is a one way door system
