On Arrival

When approaching the gate, please have your ticket ready to scan, either a printed version or displayed on your phone via the Eventbrite app (available on the App Store or Google Play).

Your ticket will be scanned and you’ll be given an Entry Wristband (AWOP).
This is your payment system for the festival, and will be loaded with any currency you’ve pre-purchased with your ticket, or that you top up at the festival.

Please be prepared to show your valid ID. Wellington Wine and Food Festival is a restricted event, all patrons must be over 18 years of age. We are able to accept a New Zealand Driver’s License, a New Zealand or Foreign Passport, or a HANZ 18+ card as identification.

Festival gates are open from 11am – 7pm, and if you want to be organised and hit the ground running you can purchase festival currency at the event, 30 mins before gates open.

Please note all bags are subject to inspection at any point during the event. Bottles, cans, glass, food, drink, alcohol, illicit drugs, illegal substances, fireworks, explosives or anything that can be used as a weapon cannot be brought into the festival.
Also please leave your animals, furniture and children at home, however you can bring blankets or picnic mats.
Wheel chair accessible.

As you enter, you’ll be given a Festival Cup and your Festival Guide. And then you’re good to go!
